Import shipments vs. customs & freight bills

Tie each import shipment's supplier invoice to its customs declaration and forwarder bills, so duty, import VAT and freight land on the right stock.

Files you need

Import shipments / commercial invoices: Each inbound shipment with its bill of lading or AWB and the supplier's commercial invoice value.For example: Import shipment register, ERP landed cost / shipment list, Commercial invoices summary.
Customs declarations: Declarations from the customs portal or your clearing agent, with duty and import VAT.For example: Dubai Customs / Mirsal declarations, ZATCA / FASAH (Saudi) declarations, Clearing agent duty statement.
Freight & clearing invoices(optional): Forwarder, shipping line and clearing agent bills per shipment.For example: Freight forwarder invoices, Clearing agent invoices, Shipping line / courier import bills.

Shipment without a customs declaration: Shipment with no declaration, so duty and import VAT aren't booked.
Declared below invoice value: Customs value is lower than the commercial invoice, which is a customs undervaluation risk.
Declared above invoice value: Customs value is above the invoice. Normal by the freight and insurance in CIF; large gaps mean duty overpaid.
Declaration for an unknown shipment: Customs declaration whose BL/AWB isn't in your shipment register.
No freight bill yet: Shipment with no forwarder or clearing bill. Accrue the expected freight cost.
Freight bill for an unknown shipment: Forwarder bill for a BL/AWB that isn't in your shipment register.
Freight bill booked twice: The same forwarder bill number is booked more than once.
